Senior Behavior Interventionist

Role and Responsibility within Organization

  • A clinical position which entails providing behavioral intervention services to clients, as well as assisting the Program Supervisor and/or Consultant with the clinical and administrative management of client cases.

Duties

  • Assists the Program Supervisor and/or Program Consultant in:

    • Training, supervising, and evaluating Behavior Interventionists

    • Developing individualized programs and procedures for clients to teach skill deficits and replace behavioral excesses

    • Setting agendas and leading team meetings with clients' families and JBA staff

    • Analyzing data and providing treatment modification recommendations

  • Implements one-to-one behavioral intervention

  • Acts as a liaison between clients' families and the Program Supervisor and/or Program Consultant

  • Attends team and programming meetings with Program Consultant and Program Supervisor as well as attending on-going staff training and lectures

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma but bachelor’s degree or proof of enrollment in college courses preferred

  • At least 6 months experience implementing behavioral interventions with individuals with ASD

  • Must meet requirements of Behavior Interventionist

Note: The first 90 days are trained as a behavior interventionist to assess direct implementation skills. Upon a satisfactory 90-day evaluation, promotion to senior behavior interventionist will then be considered.

Behavior Interventionist

Role and Responsibility within Organization

  • A clinical position which entails providing one-to-one behavioral intervention services to clients

Duties

  • Implements one-to-one behavioral intervention with clients in their homes, school, and community

  • Documents data and progress of sessions

  • Attends and participates in team meetings and on-going training lectures

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma but a bachelor's degree or proof of enrollment in college courses preferred
